I am selling my 1989 Volvo 245DL. It was purchased new by a friend’s parents. The odometer stopped working in 2010 so the exact mileage is unknown. It was their 3rd vehicle so it was not used regularly. Our guess is that over that 10 year period it was driven less than 20,000. I did attempt to fix it by installing new gears but it was unsuccessful.
The body has some rust as seen in the photos. It was involved in an accident many years ago which damaged the front end when it was leaving a parking lot. It was repaired properly. A tree limb fell on the top front passenger side. That damage can also be seen. The rockers are intact. There are no holes in the floor. The rust perforation on the lower part of the left front fender behind the trim. There is no broken glass.
The engine runs well and starts consistently. It has been serviced regularly. I have a notebook of records. It will need some front suspension work although it drives straight and does not pull. It shifts well. The brakes work well. The tires have good tread. There is an extra set that were used for winter driving.
The interior is excellent. There are no tears in the seats and the carpets are in good condition. The headliner is clean.
The Kansas title is clear and in my name. The car will be picked up at my residence. The buyer is responsible for shipping. I will answer any questions. I can take more photos if needed.
