Had a blast and loved the car but it was showing it's age. So I decided to freshen it up, figured a paint job and a turbo kit. Maybe some seats. Figured I'd spend 5k and then love it 20 more years and give it to a kid. My pops gave me one of these when I was 15. Said if you can get it running, you can have it. Well, my friends the obsession was born right there. Once I began taking it apart in preparation for paint, certain things were just old or not good enough looking for this ultimate mkiii that this build was becoming. Guys I tell you no lie. I tried to sit here and add up my build cost and I dont know if I should cry or laugh. I've gotten to 20k and simply stopped punching numbers into the calculator. Everything works as it should. From the power windows and locks all the way down to the flip up coin holder. The car is really in fantastic condition. Every little thing has been lovingly addressed. No intention of ever selling. I already regret this. Lowered 2" Powersteering / ac 19" staggered axis wheels Fresh championship white paint job Deleted a few holes, car is flawless. So smooth and clean. I believe this car to be one of the nicest mkiiis out there. Targa top Dyno tune Various other little touches/ led lights here and there. Very cool custom dash. I'm sure I'm forgetting to list some items. It starts right up every time. Tuned to about 20lbs. You can certainly pull more power out of it. I just set it to be nice and fast and perfectly safe.
