The Last Tiffany? This is believed to be the only 1989 Tiffany that CMC ever built. No other examples are known to exist according to the President of the Tiffany Owners Association in Atlanta. This car has 2052 actual miles. She never goes out of the garage in any kind of bad weather. From 1983 to 1988 Classic Motor Carriages, Inc. built these "Tiffany Classic" vehicles in their Florida factory. They started with brand new Mercury Cougars purchased from Mercury dealers and modified the bodies radically. They sold them for $50,000 to $60,000. From 83 to 88 the Cougar body style never changed. In 1989, the MN-12 chassis featured a larger rear seating area , four wheel independent suspension and MacPhearson struts. This Tiffany is the only one built from a MN-12 Cougar. It sat in their factory for some years after they closed their doors. Known as "Neo Classic", this vehicle has the classic lines and style of the roadsters of days gone by yet it has many modern conveniences: 3.8 Liter V-6 with Fuel Injection Four Speed Automatic Transmission Power Steering and Disc Brakes Air Conditioning and Heater (not connected) Power Windows, Seats and Locks Tilt Steering and Cruise Control Full Digital Instrument Cluster Trumpet Horns This is a great car for tooling around town, driving in parades and attending local car shows. It turns people"s heads! This vehicle is 28 years old and un-restored. Everything is original except for a new battery (and battery tender) and the tires. It is not showroom perfect or brand new.
