Vehicle description
This 1989 Nissan Fairlady Z is a right-hand-drive 2+2 model that was was exported from Yokohama and entered the US through the Port of Savannah in Georgia in January 2019. Vin Number GCZ32506430 Finished in Yellow Pearlglow, the car shows 88k kilometers (~55k miles) and is equipped with charcoal leather upholstery, a Bose stereo, and T-tops. Power is provided by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 paired with an automatic transmission, and a service performed at the time of the car’s arrival in the US included an oil change, brake fluid flush, and mounting new tires. This JDM Z32 is now offered with an owner’s manual, space-saver spare, tools, T-top covers, Japanese service records, an export certificate, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Yellow Pearlglow (EH7), and exterior equipment includes removable glass T-top panels, Ichikoh headlights, an integrated rear spoiler, power-folding side mirrors, HICAS 4 wheel steering and a rear window wiper. Paint meter readings taken by the seller are available for viewing in the pictures, with more pictures available per your request. All glass is original with factory Nissan glass etchings. A/C and heat work excellent.
Stock 16″ wheels wear new V-rated tires that were mounted following delivery in January of this year and have since seen approximately 3k miles of use.
The charcoal grey leather interior features automatic climate control and the optional deep-pile carpet mats with Fairlady Z metal tags. Other JDM Z options include rear window 300ZX graphics and 300ZX rear side window shades. The factory Bose stereo has an add-on Sony 10-disc CD changer with the controller mounted under the padded armrest in the center console. Only issues are that the digital clock works intermittently and there is some lifting of the rear seat side panels.
A 3-spoke, leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an analog gauge cluster that features a tachometer with a 7,000-rpm redline and a 190-km/h speedometer. The seller has unplugged the speed chime that sounded when the car exceeded the 100 km/h (62 mph) Japanese speed limit. The six-figure odometer indicates just over 88k kilometers (~55k miles), of which the seller has added a little over 5k kilometers (~3k miles).
The 3.0-liter DOHC V6 is equipped with twin Garrett turbochargers and was rated at 300 horsepower when new, which is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. A sticker in the engine compartment indicates a timing belt replacement at about 70k kilometers. An oil and filter change was performed in January 2019.
The Z has a clean North Carolina title, and the Japanese export certificate, (seen in the pictures) shows that the car was originally registered in November 1989, along with odometer readings for when the car passed Japanese Inspections at 81k kilometers in 2014 and 83k kilometers in 2016. Other records and the Japanese owner’s manual are included. Video of engine cold-start and driving / acceleration are posted on youtube, just email for links.
