This 1989 Land Rover Defender 90, factory Left Hand Drive was imported from Italy and has a clear Virginia title in my name, all customs paperwork available. Overall very good condition for age due to below average miles. 2.5TD engine, current odometer reading is 137873 kilometers or 85670 miles. VIN is SALLDVAB8FA366513 . Chassis and bulkhead are very solid, no rust issues. Nothing has been painted over on the chassis, pics show it as it is.
Frame is all solid without any patches, bulkhead is clean as well. Footwells, floors are also in good shape. Bodywork is pretty good for age, only minor dents/ripples in the rear wings (quarter panels), paint has nicks, scratches, some fading in places. Some spots show previous paint touch ups but it all matches up. Has rear seats and genuine load area mat. Rear seats have slip on red covers but can be removed (grey underneath).
Brand new front seat bases. front brush guard and vintage Bosch fog lights that work fine. Also has a heavy duty steering guard. All 3 original side steps are in great condition. This is not a restored vehicle so it has the expected wear and tear on the exterior and interior for a vehicle this age but it is in good shape. Mileage is relatively low at 85760 miles, starts quickly even after sitting for periods of time and there is no abnormal smoke from the exhaust on startup or acceleration. Runs, drives, shifts, stops fine, as one of these is expected to be.
Overall the Defender is in good condition but it is not a restored vehicle, is 31 years old so please have realistic expectations. I do not guarantee or recommend long distance drives in any older vehicle without a thorough mechanical inspection/servicing so if a buyer asks if it can be driven to Colorado, I will say it should be shipped. My test drives have been limited to around town driving.
