Up for your consideration is this fine example of one of the more popular style of Chevrolet pickups in a long line of great truck line ups. I have been a collector of this vintage pickup, tahoe/blazer and suburban for many years and this is the cleanest and unmolested truck I have ever seen when considering interior, exterior, inside of the bed, engine bay and undercarriage. When you consider that this is a 32 year old truck it"s really amazing. If you climb underneath this truck it looks like the truck has a few hundred miles on it since new! There is not an ounce of rust or corrosion of any kind anywhere on this truck top to bottom. I purchased the truck from an elderly gentleman who"s father was the original owner of the truck but who had recently been placed in hospice and the family needed to sell some of his possessions to help pay for his medical bills. It was put in the son"s name so it will likely show up as a two-owner truck even though the son really did not ever use the truck. It was always a Southwest desert truck and always garaged. I will outline the specifics below:
HISTORY: Purchased new from Tillery Chevrolet in New Mexico. I have the original window sticker. It spent it"s life in Arizona and New Mexico exclusively. Stayed with the original owner until his son took ownership for a short time before selling to me last year. There is documentation of the mileage with service receipts. Current mileage is 111,000. Exterior: Original Sandstone/Caramel brown two tone paint. The paint shines like new except for the top of the cab which shows some Arizona sunburn affecting the clear coat. High quality topper has been on the truck since new preserving the inside of the bed which looks almost new. All moldings are in great shape. All Chrome is like new. The plastic chrome on the grill has one small area where it has bubbled but has not peeled away. Original Rally Wheels are in near perfect condition. New tires with less than 100 miles on them. All lights and lenses are in great shape and in perfect working order. There is one little ding in the under the passengers door handle which I tried to show in one of the pictures and a small shallow dent under the driver"s rocker panel in the caramel brown section (very difficult to see in person much less in photos) which could be removed with paint-less dent removal. The original spare tire was removed from under the truck and he had it relocated inside the bed (not sure why). I removed it for the pictures but I do have it and it has a new tire on it on the factory rally rim. Interior: Inside the truck is an immaculate interior with the only modification being the high quality JVC stereo replacing the original unit. It sounds great. All gauges and lights works as they should. Never smoked in and no funny noises or smells. Tilt wheel, cruise control, heat, AC, horn, windows, door locks all work as they should. Dash is in perfect condition with no cracks and all plastics are in exceptional condition as is the original floor mat. I have the seat covered just to keep it protected but the original seat is in great condition under the cover and I will remove the cover for pictures if you need to verify this (the cover is a pain to remove so I did not remove it for the pictures at this time). Mechanical: Needs absolutely nothing. Runs and drives great. Completely stock and unmolested drive train consisting of the tried and true 5.7 L engine with electronic fuel injection mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Rear axle ratio is 3.42. The truck was ordered with a 34 gallon fuel tank which gives it an excellent cruising range. The transmission was rebuilt in August of 2001 by AAMCO Transmission (cost of $1,694) and the mileage at the time of rebuild was 95,501. So, by doing the math, the truck has only been driven 16k miles in the last 20 years and was garaged for the vast majority of this time. The truck is equipped with the tow package as well. AC was all replaced at 100k miles along with new water pump and rear pinion seal replaced. This truck does not leak a drop of any fluids nor does it burn any oil. The truck comes with all of it"s original owner"s manuals along with all receipts for work done through the years. I tried to be as thorough as possible with the description of the truck. Check the pictures and my feedback and bid with confidence. This truck would make any Chevy enthusiast proud, I am sure of that. Please feel free to ask any additional questions.
