Vehicle description
1989 BMW 325i convertible. Manual transmission. Bought from previous owner 7 months ago who lived in Colorado. As you can see, car has almost no rust. Second to last photo shows receipt of when it was taken to the shop (that specializes in vintage vehicles). Everything was inspected and fluids were filled (have only driven it 3 times since). The bottom of the receipt shows things that need to be checked/done: - A/C motor - Steering rack boot - Tie rods followed by an alignment - Drivers side lower trim piece A/C motor was replaced and is working as new, very hot and very cold. Drivers side lower trim was fixed but need several more mounting clips to be 100% secure. Ripped steering rack boot was not replaced but with the purchase of the car, comes two new steering rack boots. All that needs to be done is to have them placed. As the receipt states, the tie rods are likely frozen and need readjustment followed by an alignment. Despite this, car runs relatively smooth on the road but does get a little shaky at higher speeds.
The car was initially an automatic transmission vehicle. The previous owner did a manual swap. Shifting is smooth. Does require a little nudge to get into rear (center console kinda gets in the way) otherwise shifts good. The car starts right up. Car is currently running on brand new battery All 4 windows work just fine The front seats were reupholstered. In order to reupholster the seats, I had to get rid of the old leather which had the metal wires that ran through them to conduct the heat for the heated seats. So, the seats are no longer conduct heat but are fully functional otherwise. Back seats were replaced by the previous owner. The carpeting was redone and painted Interior trim pieces were also repainted Steering wheel was replaced (previous had TONS of rips around the rim) The tires are likely going to need replacement in the near future but are probably good for the upcoming fall and spring The car dose come with a spare wheel at the back, but the tire has a rip (so it’s more like a spare rim) Unfortunately, the bottom pair of fog lights don"t seem to be working but all other lights are fully functional There is a small dent on the hood, towards the driver"s side, which was there when I purchased the car (probably in easy fix) The car definitely needs a paint job. The car came in red and was repainted white (amateur paint job it seems). Does have barely noticeable small black specs on the back trunk as well. Car does not have an antenna, but the radio is bluetooth and works just fine (you just won’t be able to listen to FM or AM unless the antenna is replaced. But, you can connect to bluetooth and listen to FM or AM through your phone if you like) Driver"s side window does latch a bit to the edge of the adjacent rear window trim when opening the door but, it opens and closes just fine without much give.
Last photo shows all proof of work that I currently have that was done by the previous owner dating back to 2014. If you"re interested in the MTECH 2 body style, the car does come with replica MTECH 2 side door panels, lower rear bumper, and early model fog lights (need to be fitted, painted, and mounted). I"m only missing upper part of the rear bumper and the full front body kit. You can contact me for pictures of those. Reason I"m selling the car is because I decided that I"d rather go for a hard top e30 or e36 (but definitely enjoyed the car while I had it) You can come by, take a look, go for test drive. If you live out of state, you"ll have to handle towing of the car if you do decide to but it, which can be arranged. Any questions at all, you can call or text me and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. P.S. I accept cash or Zelle only Phone #:
