This is a very clean, all original, 100% rust free (CA original) 1988 Nissan 300ZX that"s been in the same family since brand new, and with only 40,720 original miles. Comes with a clean/clear CA title, current registration and CA smog, and clean CarFax.
This car has been 100% garage kept since new, has been well maintained (with regular oil changes), and just received a new timing belt, water pump, coolant, drive belts, oil change, fuel gauge sending unit, oil pressure sending unit, wiper blades, Duracell battery, and new tires within the last 200 miles (I have all the documentation, and the work was performed by a reputable shop).
This vehicle runs and drives like new and has excellent brakes, steering, suspension, alignment, and clutch, and has never been smoked in (or had any animals inside) - and even smells brand new inside! It’s truly a rolling time capsule of a vehicle, and gets compliments everywhere I drive it.
This vehicle has every available option for 1988 (except for the optional digital instrument cluster), and is the non-turbo version of the 3.0 liter V6(rated at 165 horsepower/174 ft pounds of torque - although it feels stronger than these numbers suggest).
EVERYTHING works on the vehicle - except the air conditioning. It could just need a basic system evacuation and re-charge (there is some pressure in the system, as I checked it via the low pressure Schrader valve). Therefore, my assumption is there are no major leak issues (however, I am NOT providing any warranty to this statement, and I’m not an auto mechanic).
INTERIOR – the interior of this vehicle is LIKE NEW, with almost zero wear to the seats, dashboard, steering wheel, buttons, radio controls,carpeting, or other touch points. The only (slightly) noticeable wear-and-tear is to the original floor mats (which are still in great shape). It also smells LIKE NEW inside.
EXTERIOR – the paint is 100% original and shines very well. However, the vehicle does have some minor nicks and scratches (mostly on the hood and front bumper) that you could expect on a vehicle this age. However, overall, the paint looks very good.
ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/DRIVE TRAIN - runs, drives, steers like new. No check engines lights or warning lights on the dashboard. The engine fires right up,runs great, and idles smoothly. The brakes and clutch are also in great shape, and there is about 85+ percent pad life on the ORIGINAL brake pads. YES - this car has been driven lightly.
CARFAX – this vehicle comes with a clean CarFax, with no accident history, and shows it was a one owner vehicle (just before I became the owner). The vehicle has been the same family since brand new
BOOKS/DOCUMENTATION – This vehicle comes with the original owner’s manual, 3original Nissan keys, the original sales brochure (which is in in excellent condition), plus the original cassette brochure (on how to operate the stereo).
DISCLAIMER – there is some minor body damage to the passenger-side rear corner(bumper and quarter panel - see photos). Overall the damage doesn’t look too bad, and it’s not very noticeable in bright sun. The rest of the body is straight and clean.
