Vehicle description

I bought this car brand new with my dad back in 88 for my Mom. It has been on the West coast and free of bad weather sine 1994. The car is all original and I just spent $10K restoring the engine, suspension and drivetrain back to prestine new. Mostly old seals, old rubber was dry rotted from sitting in a garage only used on Sundays for 30 years! List of items done is in a picture, but engine was removed, all resealed, head gaskets(they leak after a while so all new now, All timing chain rails, chain and sprockets, all new fuel injectors, pump and hoses. AC compressor new and heat all work as normal. Car is as good as when I bought it new in 1988! ! New subframe , shocks and bushings. brake discs Ask questions in email and I will respond. All work was done by Classic Motor Car in Branford CT which is a sole MB repair shop has done 100"s of these rebuilds and now the motor is absolutely clean, perfectly running and ready for someones showroom or as a Sunday driver! I have to say it does run smooth and flawless! Email me any questions or if you want to arrange a PPI at your choice garage. Buyer must pay for shipping transportation, Approx enclosed shipment is $2500 coast to coast. less elsewhere. NOTE PLEASE READ: Any 560SL with this low of mileage that are selling for 25,28, 31-34K are doomed for failure. Heres why: The timing chain uses plastic rails and they either get brittle from lots of heat and high mileage or also AGE! So every R107 or MB560SL claiming to be such low miles and pristine , is NOT unless someone spends $3-5K getting all that done. If your buying or comparing my car with some of the others on EBay or elsewhere your timing rails can break and ruin, yes RUIN your engine. I wouldn"t have spend all this money if it didn"t need it. You will be buying a ticking time-bomb. Ask any MB expert and they will tell you all 380, 450 and 560 engines have this issue. Plus while apart you can get other things fresh-end up like heads, all Nitrile seals capable of holding Synthetic lubricants, which the originals did not.(mainly synthetic trans fluid like Mobil 1 ATF. So at $35k, this car is well above the rest as it can be started and run with total confidence and wont have to be done for another 30 years! Don"t compare my price with a 15k mile motor thats 30 years old. That motor is doomed because they are 30 plus years old and doesn"t have all new seals, injectors and the rest. My car is basically NEW not 30years old anymore! Good luck bidding ask any questions.
