Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1988 Land Rover Range Rover is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle needs work. Seller"s Notes Fairly rare 1988 non sunroof, cloth seats Range Rover Vehicle Details 1988 Range Rover classic I purchased this Range Rover on motors 5/2021 from Mississippi and had it shipped to California as a project. I since have no time to work on or complete the project. The truck runs and drives but needs attention to become a daily driver. 1. Vehicle runs rough at idle 2. Power steering leak from steering box (leaks severely after driving) 3. Brakes are intermittently soft (to the floor) when warm 4. Exhaust leak from manifold I believe (I have a left and right spare exhaust manifold included with the truck) 5. Odometer does not count mileage 6. Instrument cluster coolant gauge does not read. Previous owner installed VDO secondary temperature gauge which is accurate. 7. When the fuel tank is filled to maximum the fuel pump seal I believe is bad and the truck leaks gasoline 8. Factory Windshield is cracked and has a chip 9. Rust at fuel filler neck, as well as driver floor board see provided photos 10. Front bumper is severely bent (I have a good used spare bumper off a 1989 mode year provided along with the truck) This Range Rover is very original. Paint is original single stage, and body is fairly straight. According to Carfax this Range Rover spent most of its life in Alabama and Mississippi. Vehicle does have rust, no more rust than my other RRCs I have owned that were California original trucks since new. All power windows work but can be slow going up, both front power seats do work. Overall a decent stock Range Rover classic project truck. I have paid CA registration/transfer fees and vehicle will require smog to complete Mississippi to California transfer. Due to engine misfire I have not completed the smog check. I am a car guy and just have too many 1980s projects so I am letting the ones I won’t have spare time to work on go to someone who will take care of them.
