Vehicle Details Listing 2 of my project Jeep’s. This listing is a 1988 Jeep Wrangler Laredo, I personally love Cj’s and early model YJ’s. This vehicle being a Laredo gives you cloth interior, leather wrapped steering wheel, full carpet kit, hard top/doors, alloy wheels and factory AC. As stated this is a project vehicle. It sat for years but was driven to its parking spot. When I went to move the vehicle originally the clutch line had lost all its fluid over the years so until it is bled or possible more needed work, this Jeep does not drive on its own power. The 4.2 does start with some starting fluid and will continue to run from the tank but I’d recommend draining the old fuel. Some rust on the lower body areas and and looks like prior rear shackle areas repaired in the past. The suspension lift kit has what I understand zero miles on it. The story with the Jeep on why it sat was there was a noise when engaging the 4x4. Ultimately my guess is this Jeep needs a new transfer case. My understanding is the prior owner drained the diff fluid and the transfer case fluid and when he saw metal in the transfer case he never put fluid back in either units because he was going to replace the case. So they both are empty. Personally there are a bunch of Jeep’s I always wanted and a black Laredo YJ is one of them. This being said I could add fluids to this vehicle, bleed the clutch, give her a tune up, clean or repair areas or items etc. once I start on one thing I’m not going to stop and the amount of things I have going on, this project will take years. Miles shows 186k, title shows 190k. When he originally transferred it to his daughters name I’m assuming he rounded up. In PA we can exempt after 10 years so this isn’t an issue but I don’t want any unknown things. I have items I will include if desired, a brand new transfer case but it states newer years so I am unsure if this is any use for this Jeep. A brand new front chrome bumper to replace the factory bent one. Bikini top and wind jammer, some other YJ stuff that I have sitting around as well. Clean PA title, Jeep is located in West Chester pa 19382. I can assist on loading onto a trailer or if a 3rd party shipper were to show up.
