About this vehicle This 1988 Jeep Comanche is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Please view photos carefully. This is a great example of a driver quality "classic" Jeep. It is NOT a museum quality show piece! Vehicle Details 88 Comanche Pioneer short bed. This is a 2wd, 4cyl, 4 speed manual truck. Very very clean and solid. I purchased the truck from the second owner, who was good friends with the original owner. The truck has had one repaint. This is a Maine truck but has always been garaged in the winter months. I have recently done a tune up, valve cover and gasket, new front coil springs and a set of hankook dynapro A/T tires on period correct Jeep aluminum wheels that were refinished before installation. The original steel wheels with smaller tires also come with the truck. My only complaints about the truck would be that whoever painted it taped around the pioneer decals rather than replacing them, so there is a bit of a tape edge around all the decals, there is some surface rust on the bottom of the drivers side door edge & the headliner needs some attention if you're a perfectionist (see pics) I've had the truck for a few years now and it's only been driven a handful of times.
