Up for auction is a 1988 Jeep Comanche, standard cab, short bed 4x4. This particular Jeep was purchased new in California, drove to Arizona for a military service commute, then drove to North West Montana, where it has remained. It is equipped with the 4.0 FI Inline 6 cyl, and the AISIN AW automatic transmission. The four wheel drive operates smooth and tight, the motor runs flawlessly, doesn’t burn a drop of oil, and is extremely over powered for the truck. The transmissions shifts promptly without slippage and brakes are at 85%. The truck dives down the road great, has no issues with passing or maintaining 80mph (even uphill!), and maintains 22-23mpg religiously. There are no mentions of wandering or any loose feelings in the steering or front end, it runs straight down the road. The dash switches, gauges, and indicators all function properly, the heat and A/C are very strong, mirrors, windows and sliding rear window are great, headliner is not sagging and has no staining. Seat and door panels are in great shape, no rips tears or cracks. The exterior of the Jeep is less attractive than its mechanical assets, although there is absolutely no rust or dents in this truck. The paint has sun faded over the years as has the original decals, but it is an open book, what you see is what you get. I have stacks of maintenance receipts, including the latest edition of the $1190.00 Super Swamper tires installed Dec 2021. The original owners manual will also be included. I would not hesitate to drive across the county in this truck, it is very dependable, and a true survivor. Shipping the truck is entirely up to the buyer, but I will certainly help on this end, and could negotiate long term secure storage as well. Your buying as is where is, and all sales are final. This is a true auction to keep everything fair, as I’m always asked if it’s for sale when I drive to town, and the reserve is less than half of others I’ve seen listed on eBay. Any negative feedback bidders or bidders with less than 10 positive feedback ratings, your bid will be cancelled. Also for sale locally, so the auction can be cancelled, without a substantial bid. Check our feedback rating as a seller. Good Luck
