Now up for auction is this 1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate. Referencing the model’s early appearance in the 1967 film starring Dustin Hoffman, this “Graduate” edition Spider was offered with the same twin-cam 2.0 L engine and drivetrain from the Quadrifoglio and Veloce models. This 1988 example is has always been garage-kept and carefully maintained, Note that it comes with a brand-new convertible top recently installed. Now showing just over 73k miles on the odometer (that is less than 2300 miles per year average), This Spider is being offered by its seller in Georgia accompanied by a color-matched removable hardtop, a collection of documentation, and a clean title. Exterior features include a rear decklid spoiler and a brand-new vinyl convertible top . Pininfarina badges are also affixed on the sides laying claim to the Italian firm’s design work. This example rides on 15” Alfa Romeo wheels with new “Phone Dial” wheel covers, which are currently dressed in newer Michelin tires. A color-matched removable hardtop will also be included in the sale. Inside, the black vinyl interior is in excellent condition while remaining mostly original. 2 small cracks are seen on the front of the dashboard and 2 aftermarket speakers have been installed on the rear deck. The A/C has been converted to R134 and all gauges and accessories to are fully functional. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual tranmssion, making it a very fast, quick and excellent handling sportscar!
