assembly on Monday,October 26,1987 on the Ford “Fox Body” platform.Original factory equipment:Smooth starting and idling 190 HP/pushing 240lb.ft. of torque 2.3 Liter I4 rear wheel drive top mount intercooled IHI turbo charged electronically fuel injected engine.Full turbo charger boost in all 5 forward gears.World Class T5-5 speed smoothly shifting short throw transmission with hydraulic clutch.Distinctive “turbo” wrapped leather shifter knob in great condition.Completely accurate and in working order are Ford Factory in dash analog speedometer,charging system,fuel,tachometer,trip and turbo boost gauges.Average fuel usage for this specific automobile is 15 city mpg/20 highway mpg with 93 octane premium fuel from a 22 gallon fuel tank.Four wheel power disc anti-lock brakes and power steering.Factory 16” brightly gleaming snowflake wheels including wheel lock key.A 3.55 traction-Lok rear axle,programmed ride control with automatic/firm selector switch,regular/premium fuel selector switch,dual actively functioning intercooler hood scoops.Front headlight assembly,Hella fog lamps and tail light assembly lenses are very nice and showing very little exposure to the outdoor elements.In working order is the Sentry System diagnostic monitoring panel.All interior lights, instrument cluster panel lights,key in ignition chime reminder and fasten seat belt warning buzzer are operable and in working order.There is a 6 way power driver seat and manual passenger seat.The driver and passenger seats have in working order power lumbar and bolster support system.The windows are medium dark tinted power windows,0 leak power huge moonroof/sunroof with vented sliding shade,lighted vanity mirrors,map lights,rear passenger courtesy lights,power door locks,mirrors,tilt steering wheel,cruise control,rear window defroster,steering column operated front windshield washer,high/low beam and turn signal stalk type switch,intermittent wipers with new Bosch windshield wiper blades,lighted glove box and console storage compartments with remote fuel door filler and trunk release buttons.There is manual COLD air conditioning and manual HOT heat,digital clock with trip time counter,original mini spare tire,jack and tire tool.Interior seating,headliner and carpeting are Raven Charcoal in color with driver,front passenger and rear passenger cloth seats with articulated driver and front passenger seats including vinyl seat backs with storage pockets.Interior is in near excellent condition with no rips,tears,burns,cuts or holes in the seats,door panels,carpeting and original headliner is tightly intact.Exterior paint appears to be original factory Silver Clearcoat Metallic with 0 rust and original sprayed on underbody and engine compartment rust proofing.In the interest of complete transparency there are a few minor age related tiny paint chips on the front header panel,hood edge,front windshield trim,driver/passenger door pillar trim and very minor surface scuffs on front and rear underside bumpers.Otherwise,exterior paint and lower body black and red stripe trim moulding are absolutely stunning and in great condition with 0 flaking,hazing or fading.The passenger seat belt has some minor fraying on outer edge.Original factory dash has a vertical crack to the right of instrument cluster with 5 small star-like cracks in the same area.This was common in later years due to the lower grade Formica like materials used for the dash.Automobile comes with a defect free replacement full dash assembly unit purchased 3 years ago and custom made fiber material removable dash pad cover for new owner to install.The radio and graphic equalizer have power/volume issues.The volume will rise loudly and then disappear.The equalizer will not stay powered on unless the power switch is pushed in constantly.Still,this 33+ year old automobile deserves a 9 for overall condition and appearance.0 illuminated check engine,turbo,alternator,ABS,etc.lights and 0 fluid leaks.All lines,wiring,cables,hoses and serpentine belt are in great condition.This garage kept automobile is peppy and a complete absolute blast to drive while watching the turbo boost and speedometer gauges climbing while rolling down the road.A rare find of a technological marvel way ahead of the times for a 1980s automobile.This automobile truly performs best on the open road.Yet,still performs exceptionally well on the city side and surface streets too.Very little to nothing is known about the 1st and 2nd owners.The 3rd owner purchased the automobile for a family member whom decided the automobile was too fast for their liking and sold it after a very brief ownership.The 4th owner is a classic automobile dealer whom kept the automobile on the showroom sales floor of the dealership for approximately 2 years.The current (5th) owner purchased the automobile June 22,2016 and has kept the automobile in a secure climate controlled inside location in Georgia since that time.
