Up for sale is my 1988 Ford Thunderbird Sport Coupe 5.0 V8 with AOD transmission. These Thunderbirds are rare as they did not make many 5.0 Sport coupes. These cars came with full instrumentation, the quad shock rear suspension, large front and rear sway bars with poly urethane bushings. Dual exhaust and posi trac rear end. Front bucket seats with knee bolster, side bolster and power lumbar. 8 way power driver seat, floor shift with full center console, Factory Premium audio system with 7 band graphic equalizer and JBL speakers that still sounds awesome! Factory aluminum sport wheels, Automatic headlamps, auto hi beams, leather wrapped tilt steering wheel with cruise control, PW, PL, PM, Cold A/C, delay wipers, rear window defroster, power trunk release, power fuel door release. They call these Sport coupes the gentleman"s Mustang. This is a one owner non smoker car that has been garage kept and only driven in the summer months. The car still retains all of it"s original Smoke Gray Metallic paint that still shines, it does have some minor stone chips along the lower dog leg panels just before the rear wheels and some other minor chips but over all still looks very nice and original. The interior is also in excellent condition. The dash is perfect with no cracks, the head liner is perfect with no sagging or rips, The door panels are excellent and the carpet is very nice. The seats are also near perfect with very little fading as this car was garage kept. All options work as they should with the exception of the power antenna which needs only the plastic cable as the switch and motor work, I just leave the mast up all the time. Mechanically the car has always been well maintained, just serviced this spring and also received a full tune up and I kept all the original parts, also has had the following replaced in last the few years: complete new factory dual exhaust system, new brakes all the way around, new rear shocks, water pump, radiator & thermostat and fuel pump. The car runs and drives great and I do drive it at least once a week so the miles will continue to go up as I enjoy this car. I have the car titled and plated as an antique here in PA. If the buyer is from PA the antique tag can be transferred to the new owner if so desired. This is a very nice original survivor Thunderbird Sport Coupe.
