You are looking at atrue SSP Mustang LX 5.0 notchback / coupe, specially ordered from factory bythe Washington State Highway Patrol. These cars are very special and hard tofind especially with a straight body. The chassis and body are solid top to bottom,no visible rust or rot; a nice survivor. Upgraded ~20k miles agowith a 347 SBF engine and T-5 transmission; last dyno put down 420horsepower. Currently has open exhaust behind the headers but comes withcat-back exhaust with electronic cut-offs that can be welded backin-place. The engine idles and runs smoothly, the transmissions shiftswell and has a nice stiff clutch to hold the power. The mileage is unknown but the odometer works and shows ~54k miles with the swap done at ~34kmiles. There is a small oil leak between the engine and transmission thatis minor enough to only be a drip only after sweating for a while (to temp formore than a few minutes). With great power comesgreat responsibility and this is where the car needs some focus to go fromweekend project to a fun daily driver, weekend warrior or street / strip Car:1) Tires, 2) Brakes, 3) Battery, 4) Suspension and for controlling the powerthe usual fox-body chassis mods depending on the desiredapplication. The choice will be yours and would take this from a weekendproject into a driving dream. The body itself is verystraight and is currently painted matte/flat black. There are only a fewminor dents on the body that are difficult to make out in-person or in thepictures plus a saggy driver door (happy to provide a detailed walk-throughvideo or face-time as needed). I really wish I could finish the car but have not been able to make the time for it in the last 18 months and don"t want to keep letting her just sleep in my garage.
