THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. 1988 Ford Mustang convertible. ASC McLaren #834. Marti report. Rare manual transmission (most ASC Mclaren"s were ordered with a automatic transmission). Low mile mint condition 100% original survivor. This car has been in the same family since it was purchased new in 1988 from Damerow Ford in Beaverton Oregon. 26,794 original and fully documented miles. Marti report is included. I have the Carfax available for interested parties confirming the low original mileage and owner ship history. This is a fully documented low mile one family owned car. Garaged since new. This car was only driven in the summer time and has never been driven in the rain. Only driven maybe twice a year the last 10 years. Only non ethanol gas used. Meticulous maintenance. Original bone stock 5 liter H.O motor and five speed manual Borg Warner transmission. Power windows, brakes, mirrors, steering, seats, door locks, A/C, cruise control. The car is 100% original. The original paint is near flawless. The interior is in mint condition.
PAINT/BODY- This is a 100% original paint car. The car has has always been stored inside a climate controlled garage and only driven on nice days. The undercarriage is clean and tidy. The original gold honeycomb cast aluminum rims by Motorsport Wheel Company are in perfect condition with no curb rash. Nice tires. I just had the paint professionally polished. The original paint is in stunning condition. The convertible top is in excellent condition as well.
MOTOR/TRANSMISSION- Completely original and unmodified drive train. The stock 5.0 H.O. motor and five speed overdrive (T5) Borg Warner transmission are in perfect mechanical condition. This car was ordered with a five speed manual transmission, very rare option as most were ordered with automatics. The car has had meticulous routine maintenance throughout its entire life. The heater core, fuel tank, fuel pump, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil/filter were replaced with in the last 500 miles. The car runs, drives, stops, and looks like new.
REAR END- This car was ordered with the traction lock rear end with 3.08 gear ratio.
INTERIOR- The interior is in mint condition. The factory leather seats are exceptional. The carpet is perfect. The car is 100% original down to the factory ford radio, option code 9 (AM/FM clock cassette electronic tune).
This is a very low production car making, number 834 of 1,015. Very comfortable to drive. The car needs nothing. Runs, drives, and looks like a new car.
