1988 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado. This was a 2 owner truck up till recently when my friend"s grandfather passed away at the age of 92. He took great care of this truck while he had it. It spent most of it"s life under a carport. It has 140,000 miles ,the V8 5.7 liter (350) engine, Automatic transmission w/ overdrive, 4wd with auto locking hubs (high and low range). Extended cab, long bed w/ locking camper top. Has power windows, power locks, heat, and air conditioning. The power windows work as good as new and the A/C is ice cold (both rare to work properly in older gm trucks). A/C is also converted to r134a. The truck has just had a full tune up. Truck received new NGK spark plugs, Car Quest premium spark plug wires, Accel distributor cap and rotor, pcv valve, and Purolator air filter. This truck runs great with no smoke. It drives down the road smoothly with no creaks or rattles. Suspension and steering are both very tight on this truck, unlike a lot of older gm trucks. The transmission shifts like a brand new truck. I was told the transmission was rebuilt. I do not have proof of this, but it is believable based on driving the truck. The brakes work very well also and stop straight. 4wd works perfect in 4hi and 4lo. The exterior of the truck has zero rust, due to spending most of it"s life here in South Carolina. The paint is in great shape and has a nice finish and shine to it. The doors have no sag or wear to the hinge bushings. Doors open and close like new. Doors are perfect on the bottom side with not even a hint of rust.The rear bumper has a little damage as well as the bed corner behind it.(very minor). There is one minor tiny indented crease at the bottom rocker where the cab meets the bed(see pics). The interior is in great shape for it"s age. Seats are nice with only one wear spot that has a patch on it, seat foam is soft and supple, rear seat looks like it was never used. Carpet looks amazing, door panels are nice and tight. Dash has zero cracks anywhere and looks new. I have the original factory floor mats in good shape. They come with the truck. Radio turns on, but has no sound. Underneath the truck is just as nice as the top, no rust or major leaks. Everything is as it came stock from GM. The tires have plenty of tread left, but are old. They drive fine, but have some light dry rot. Don"t miss out on your chance to own a true time capsule. The truck is available for inspection.
