Vehicle Details 1988 Cadillac Allante. All original, including paint and tops. The battery, power steering pump, and serpentine belt are new this summer. The car is in driver condition, but brakes will need attention (left rear brake seems to be dragging) and tires are aged and cracked. The car starts easily and the 4.1 L V8 engine runs smoothly. The transmission shifts smoothly. The digital dashboard functions, but is a bit dim. There are a few electrical issues that have affected the heating, air conditioning, and radio. The body is very solid with no rust. There are a few paint issues and minor damage on the rear bumper cover. These are shown in the photos. The interior is in decent shape, but there are seam tears and excessive wear on the bolsters of the driver's seat. There is one small tear in the headliner (photo included). The soft top has two small holes, one on each side of the glass rear window. Since the car is currently stored outside, I've installed the hard top to keep the car weather-tight. The car was my father's, who passed away last year. He had owned it since 2003. My mom doesn't drive anymore and we just don't have the space to keep the car. With a new set of tires, some brake and electrical work, it will make for a fun 3 season cruiser. The car shares most of its mechanicals with the Eldorado, so most parts are readily available.
