This 1988 BMW M6 is powered by a 3.5L straight-six paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and finished in Cinnabar Red over Lotus White leather. During our ownership, we have installed new brakes, replaced the air filter, and performing an oil and filter change. Modifications added under previous ownership include 18″ E39 M5 wheels and an aftermarket ECU chip. This E24 M6 is offered by the selling dealer with service records from new, a clean Carfax report, and a clear Florida title.
The body is finished in code 138 Cinnabar Red, and the selling dealer states that the front spoiler and right rocker panel have been repainted. Very minor chips and scratches are noted in the paintwork, which is shown up close in the gallery below.
The Lotus White interior features powered leather sport seats, a sunroof, and rear air conditioning. A stock airbag wheel remains in place, while an aftermarket stereo has replaced the original. The 6-digit odometer shows approximately 140k miles.
The 3.5 liter S38 inline-six was rated at 256 horsepower when new, and an aftermarket ECU chip was installed under previous ownership. Additionally, the control arms and shocks have been replaced. Service in November 2018 included fitment of a new air filter as well as an oil and filter change. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.
