Vehicle description
Like the title states, I have an 1988 BMW 325iX Coupe that
has been M50b25 swapped and turbo charged. This is a very
rare opportunity to own a unique vehicle that has plenty of
character and potential. The car has a clean and clear
Washington State Title in my name readily available for
transfer.
The car boasts a 5 speed manual transmission, with fully
functioning All Wheel-Drive. The M50b25 is force induced
with 4psi and tuned via megasquirt. My initial plan was to
bring the car to 22RPD to finalize the base tune and safely
crank the boost up to 8psi (which I still can do depending on
timeline). I am hoping the car will produce roughly 325-
340awhp.
The m50 is the single vanos variant with roughly 170k miles.
The head was removed, hot tanked, decked, and had ARP
head studs installed with an MLS head gasket. Other than
that, the motor is completely stock. All typical maintenance
has been completed on the engine and is ready to be driven
and enjoyed without worry.
Here is a quick list of modifications:
-Suspension/Braking
-Ground Control Coilovers with adjustable Koni yellows and
camber plates
-Tesla Model S "Booster". This brake booster is fully
electronic and functional. The issue with the standard
vacuum booster is that there are major space constraints with
how canted the M50 sits in the iX engine bay. The iBooster is
very slim and allows for assisted brakes, rather than running
manual brakes.
-all new suspension bushings front and rear (front subframe,
rear subframe bushings and trailing arms w/ eccentric
adjustments)
-TIAL wastegate - Audi diverter valve/BOV (nice and quiet. Not obnoxious) -no name T3 turbo. Cheap but does the job -CSF E36 M3 Aluminum radiator -Stewart Performance Highflow Waterpump -80/88" thermostat -16in SPAL fan -I also have a spare 3.64 front and rear differential for taller gearing, as well as a spare transfer case. I"ll include these at full asking price -Exterior- Completely stock. I do have a set of late model plastic bumpers (front and rear) I could include at full asking price. -Interior- -Nice black sport leather interior in very good shape considering it"s age. The sport seats are heated as well. -ZHP shift knob -Z3 short shifter -AEM air fuel ratio gauge Problematic areas -No AC -the gauge cluster has been temperamental lately. I am waiting to hear back how quickly I can get this item rebuilt. No oil dipstick -
