Vehicle description
1987 Volvo 240 Wagon This is a high mileage example, almost 360,000 and still going strong
It is not a mint condition vehicle and does show signs of wear and tear
Starts up every time
I"ve been using it as my winter car for the past 3-4 years but no longer have a use for it
Engine runs great and leaks no oil
Trans also shifts excellent and just replaced the leaky pan gasket, filter, and did a fluid flush
AC does not work but Heat works awesome
I have recently replaced the following:
Tires have about 4k miles on them
Both tie rods are new
Just had an alignment
Front brake calipers, rotors, pads, rubber brake lines
Brake master cylinder, this tank stops on a dime now
Sway-bar and end link bushings
All bushings in the rear suspension including the ones in the rear training arms
Both motor mounts and transmission mount Fuel system main relay
Some things that still need addressed are: Needs rear shocks replaced Windshield is cracked and needs replacing
This 240 has been nothing but good to me in my 4 years of ownership. Wouldn"t hesitate to take it to California and back.
