Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1987 Toyota Cresta is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Get a great deal on a great car. Vehicle Details This is a Japanese Import 1987 Toyota Cresta Super Custom 1S-U 4 Cyl 5 Speed manual car. I imported this car about 2 years ago with the intent to daily drive it. I then decided I was not going to do that. The car has around 90k miles on it and drives very well. It is blue exterior with a blue interior. The inside is in very good condition and the exterior paint is nice but it is a 34 year old vehicle. Purchased from Japan from the dealership R-Freaks, Japan Partner picked up the car for me and did the exportation process in Japan. The car came in through the port at Galveston Texas and cleared through customs in North Houston. I do all my own importation and documentation so the Texas title shows that I am the first owner in the US and the previous owner is recorded as Japan Partner. This IS a federally legal vehicle. The car rides on Watanabe wheels and has a custom coilovers from Japan. The front lip is a custom fitted one also installed in Japan. I believe this is the only SX-70 for sale currently in the US and comparables in Japan are currently sitting at around 18k pre-import and around 21k landed in the US. This is a great opportunity to get a good japanese car for a good price. Radio is original and works but I can only get a hs station here because the japanese frequency is lower than the us frequency. I have ordered new lug nuts and am recharging the A/C this week. The only other part replaced was the starter from when it arrived. This is a great example of a shakotan "low down" style japanese car where the culture is more important than speed. I have two other japanese imports I brought in and I do believe that this car not only is going to increase in value, it is already under value to allow the next owner have the ability to modify it to their choosing and not be over current market value.
