About this vehicle This 1987 Toyota 4Runner is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work. Seller"s Notes Hit me up for any questions or more details. Vehicle Details First, ran well until it say for a bit in my garage. Idle is a little lopey. Pressing the gas drops the power. I’ve not tested farther. Just put it back in the garage. Drive from Cali to NC with no issues in 2017. Probably needs at least a tps, but trailer would be best. Brakes will need bled as well. Second, this has been a 10 year project. There are probably at least 15k of parts on this rig. Chassis is original 87 but the front axle is from 85(manual locking hubs). All pro SAS kit, hoops, and new mil wrap springs with 4.5” lift all around. All Pro high steer kit, and rear disc brake conversion and fj40 master cylinder and bias adjuster. Front and rear diffs are both rebuilt 4.88s and front has cryo treated gears and Detroit auto locker. Rear axle was recently completely rebuilt, with powder coated housing after spring mounts and shock mounts were welded. Front shocks are fox, and bilstien on the rear. Both diffs are drilled for breather tubes. Wheels are steel powder coated full lockers. Engine was completely overhauled in 2018 so has about 3k on it. LCE stock cam and LCE powder coated headers with straight back muffler. Injectors were completely rebuilt at premier 22re spot in LA. wiring harness was cleaned up and fuse box added in engine bay. All emissions have been blocked off as well as heater and a/c. Interior has been stripped completely, wd-40’d and cleaned. Dyna mat added in the front compartment to decrease heat and noise. Body has almost zero rust. There’s a small hole (1/2”) by battery holder, and that’s it. Around chrome, wheel wells and windshield are perfect. Lights work although the front right likely needs to be resoldered as it’s a bit dim. Rear door/window components completely replaced although the relay has never been wired up.
