“ This is 14 inches shorter and 6 inches narrower than a 308. The Caddilac is 20hp less than Ferrari and mounted in the same orientation. Styled as rat-rod exotic rather than a direct replica, but very close to attitude of hand built sports car with the benefit of inexpensive parts. I bought a father-son Ferrari 308 convertible kit and found the work unacceptable. So purchased a 1987 T-top with 53k. I pulled the body kit and fabricated stainless steel fasteners to put the pre-painted body securely to the chassis. It has the benefit of a full rear window but finishing work to rear deck lid etc. It was professionally painted before the started assembly and I had a hand in additional scuffs during the build. I put it on the he road but haven't got back to it in two years. I planned on upgrading to Camaro brakes extending rear fairing and lowering it. Now I need the space for a 4x4 build. It's a fantastic foundation no rust, like a go cart with a V8 rumble. ”

Vehicle description

This is 14 inches shorter and 6 inches narrower than a 308. The Caddilac is 20hp less than Ferrari and mounted in the same orientation. It"s more of a rat rod exotic than a direct replica, but very close to attitude of a hand built sports car with the benefit of inexpensive parts with unlimited possibilities. It started 10 years ago when I bought a father-son Ferrari 308 convertible kit and found the work unacceptable. So I purchased a 1987 T-top with 53k. I pulled the body kit and fabricated stainless steel fasteners to put the pre-painted body securely to the chassis. It has the benefit of a full rear window. It just needs finishing work to rear deck lid, sails, etc. It was professionally painted before the father-son started assembly and I had a hand in additional scuffs during the build. I put it on the the road but haven"t got back to it in two years. I planned on upgrading to Camaro brakes extending rear fairing and lowering it. Now I need the space for a 4x4 build. It"s a fantastic foundation no rust, like a go cart with a V8 rumble. The passkey engine disable is wired to 3 switches to add additional security as it only starts when three switches are in order. Oversized Infinity speakers installed and wired in dash and behind pillars but radio never installed. Acrylic intake tube overtightened and cracked, needs replaced. This was originally a non-a/c car so a aftermarket unit replaced heater core and is plumbed to reconditioned compressor with custom mount to engine but has not been wired. I was going wire a ceramic heater where preheated element is ifeit was ever to be driven in the winter. As far as I know this car has been garaged its entire life. I actually added a rusty air cleaner lid to add character. Also trunk carpet is from parts car but that is the only rust I know of. It started right up after sitting two years, had initial rich fuel smell but drove around the block and it still has power, radiator fan had kicked on and turn signals and lights worked tho a bit slow on the blinks. It"s a project but a damn fine one.
Will including misalanious parts for brakes, suspension and wheel covers, (not all pictured).
