Zweck is pleased to present a genuine, factory-delivered slantnose 930 that appears nearly unmodified from the outside. But underneath is an extreme, yet tractable, performer, hiding incredibly developed underpinnings by Dick Elverud. Highlights include: increased displacement to 3.6 liters from 3.3 using numbers-matching original case; G50 5-speed conversion with rebuild and re-gear to close ratios; front and rear suspension converted to Bilstein coilovers; and sunroof / drip-rail delete. Many upgrades have been performed to match as a complete package, and a full specification sheet is available in the photo gallery here (further details on request). Built by who is widely regarded in his era as one of the best 935 engine builders and IMSA race mechanics, this slant performs better than any other CIS 930 we’ve encountered and with the short-geared G50, feels more comparable to a modified GT2. Docile and well-mannered when driving around town, this 930’s coilover setup is surprisingly comfortable and compliant. The steering is tight and the upgraded Brembo brakes work phenomenally. The exterior features a DP front lower valence, and at the same time as the work completed on the roof and drip rails, the car was refinished in its original shade of Guards Red, which presents beautifully. With only 21 thousand miles, the interior shows extremely well and includes factory sport seats, a modern Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 Bluetooth head unit (with period aesthetics), Momo Prototipo steering wheel/hub (original wheel included as well), and functioning AC. This modified M505 930 comes with COA, books/manuals, compressor, spare, and records dating back to 1987–including invoices from Andial. Vehicle Description M505 - 3.6L Turbo - G50.
