I ordered this car from a dealer NEW in 1987 (without the spoiler), and have cared for it over 32 years meticulously! The car is all original, nothing has been restored. It"s been stored and covered in a heated garage and never driven in winters, washed and waxed regularly, and cared for immaculately! I"ve covered the driver"s side seat for many years, so the seat covering is in pristine condition, have had a cover on the shifter knob, and, get this, I"ve worn gloves while driving the car for many years! No fingertip oil or perspiration on controls or leathered-covered steering wheel. I don"t park near other vehicles in order to avoid flaws and blemishes, careful of high curbs and parking lot barriers.
The car was ordered with the Subwoofer sound system option for added sound quality. I use a cassette adapter to play my MP3 player through the speakers. All recommended maintenance has been performed on the car regularly and I know of no mechanical problems with the car whatsoever.
I drove the car to and from work the first several years I owned it (excluding winters), but since that time I"ve driven it only minimally with collector plates, I"d say less than 800 miles/year. Ceiling fabric needs to be tacked up, as does side plexiglass window covering, but nothing very significant.
