Vehicle description
1987 Lincoln Continental Givenchy I am helping my father, a 100% disabled Vietnam War Vet sell some of the cars in his care. Up for sale is his 1987 Lincoln Continental Givenchy. Last year of the V8 rear drive Continentals. 64XXX original miles, that has spent its life in the Seattle area since new. One of the 3483 Givenchy’s believed to be built in 1987. Fuel injected 5.0 liter V8, four speed automatic, four wheel disc Anti-Lock brake system, electronic air suspension, with level control that still works. Plus all the standard Continental features. This car is all stock, as it came from the factory, with exception to the Ford/JBL Premium Sound stereo that was reconditioned, adding an AUX plug to listen to external music sources. Back in the early 2000’s, the clear coat started to peel (common problem of Ford products in the 80’s). Car was stripped and repainted in the factory base coat clear coat color scheme. Instead of installing the factory tape stripe kit, the four-color stripe was hand painted by a local pin stripe artist like the previous generation Lincoln’s. Recent service includes: Front air springs, dryer and hoses. Heater core, water pump, thermostat, radiator and hoses. Ignition control module, and battery. Rebuilt the power windows, replaced the power door lock switches and power mirror switch. Fixed pull down power trunk mechanism. Replaced the rear window to fix the faulty rear deicer. Front brake pads, rotors and tires, plus routine service. A Ford dealer inspection was just completed in June 2020. This car is ready to be enjoyed by the next caretaker. We have lots of history for the car, plus a Deluxe Marti Report, dealer brochures, Lincoln press material, and the Ford JBL demo cassette tape. This is a thirty three year old car that shows very well inside and out. There are minor rock chips, and dings, around the car which is to be expected on a car of this age. Car is located in Seattle, and you could fly in and drive this car home, fuel tank is full! Or we can help with your shipper to get the car to a local pick up location. We are not automotive experts, and recommend an inspection at buyers expense. There is a Ford dealer and classic car garage near by that we can recommend. We have clean and clear Washington State title. Vehicle is listed locally, and seller has the right to end sale early. $500 deposit required at time of sale, with balance due within seven days of sale. Title, and or vehicle will not be released until funds have cleared. Car is being sold “AS-IS”, with no warranty expressed of given.
