Vehicle description
Vehicle Details *No Buyers with Zero Feedback*This is a very nice '87 F-150 XL with the 300 Straight Six with a C-6 Automatic. Southern Truck all its life until now and I did not drive it in the Snow and Garaged it as well. Gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes including at the Ford Dealer. Overall it's a mostly rust-free Truck showing no signs of accident damage or having any body parts replaced at all with very straight body panels. There is even very little Sun damage for having lived in the South for 34 years, but the Bench Seat is slightly ripped on both sides.I strongly believe there was a clerical mistake made in 2016 when the Truck was sold and the Mileage was accidentally recorded as 180,000 instead of 128,000. This unfortunately snowballed to the AutoCheck and CARFAX now showing 229,000 instead of 129,000. As you look at the AutoCheck you will see that logically it is unlikely that someone put 52,000 miles on this Truck in 13 Months when it was 29-years-old. Beyond that, the last Owner let the Registration expire in 2019 so they clearly were infrequently driving it as well and it is doubtful they put another 50,000 miles on it in the 2.5 years they had it Registered. The Truck has had what looks like One repaint in the original theme of the Two-Tone it started life with, but not the same shades of those colors. This was not done perfectly, which I have tried to highlight in pictures. There is a little flaking, some sort of filler at the bottom of the Doors as well as on top of and below the Rain Gutters. Overall, it looks pretty nice to most people and I'm possibly nitpicking, especially when I believe this repaint is about 10-years-old. The Spray-in Liner was done after the repaint and is in overall great shape, but is chipped in spots and is slightly peeling as well. This is a 34-year-old Truck and is not perfect. There is definitely some TLC that it could use that I have noticed though nothing out of the ordinary for this age of vehicle. - Tires are 2010 dated coded and are completely Dry Rotted despite being barely worn. - Steering Wheel is off-center, but drives straight even at 65 MPH. - Oil Pan Gasket Leaks. - Coolant was last changed in 2015 and needs to be changed again. - Missing License Plate Light and Front Turn Signal needs new Socket (parts ordered). - I could not get the Cruise Control to work. - Dome Light does not come on with the Driver's Door Open. - Truck just passed NYS Safety Inspection and A/C was evaluated and found to need Refrigerant. It has been recharged with 134A as it was converted already. - Transmission Fluid and Vacuum Modulator Replaced (all receipts for work included). Images Download the Motors app
