Texas Best Used Motorcycles 817.985.8888 2850 N Main, Mansfield, Texas 76063 Open Tues-Sat from 9:00am-6:00pm DESCRIPTION You are looking at one of the best examples of a 1987 Excalibur Series v, Royale Phaeton. The split windshield really sets this one apart form other Mercedes SSK replicas. This documented two owner car comes with the warranty card, books and original owners information. It was delivered new with 120 miles on June 15, 1987. It was used in a couple of parades, and family events and traveled only 4,000 miles until it was purchased by the second owner in 2010. It has since traveled 2900 more miles under the second owners possession. It now has 6938 actual miles, it has been stored in a climate controlled garage the entire time and serviced once a year. The tires were replaced when the second owner purchased the car. It was one of only 22 built in 1987 and was special ordered with Rolls Royce Paint code 9510118 Magnolia, six Dayton wire wheels, upgraded stitched pig skin suede interior, this interior was previously only installed in the limos. This is a car that you can truly say was never driven in the rain, the hard top has never been removed and the soft top it still folded underneath. The jack is hidden in a compartment and looks brand new. The rear suspension is corvette trailing arms with 4 wheel power disc brakes. It has power steering, air conditioning, power windows, a 5.0 liter v-8 along with a 4 speed automatic transmission. It drives very solid and has a heavy smooth ride. The door panels, seats, console, steering column and windshield rake, all hint at the Corvette influence. The Excalibur was build to emulate the 1928 Mercedes SSK roadster, a real one is worth several million today. The movie star of the 20"s Marlene Detrich, made the Mercedes SSK a glamorous car for the rich and famous, later in the 80"s Phyllis Diller owned 4 Excaliburs. The paint is perfect on this car, the hand painted pinstripes are solid with no flaking, the chrome and wood work is excellent.
The pig skin suede interior is excellent, no smoke, no pets just very well kept. We have the assembly parts manual with contact information to buy parts, we also have the pig skin rear boot to cover the rear when the top is down.
