Offered with a reasonable reserve is a 1987 Dodge Shelby Charger GLHS. My father purchased this car in 1996 with 127k miles on it (I purchased it from him a few years ago). It now has 159,158 miles. Don’t let the miles trick you – this is a well sorted car. We have owned about a dozen of these Shelbys over the years and this one always got the best parts off all the other cars and it has always been cherished. The following major work has been performed on the car: 1997 - New Konis installed at all four corners and new control arm bushings. 2001 - Repainted and new decals installed (the paint is great with the exception of a couple rock chips on the nose), brakes redone, windshield replaced, new clutch and seals 2008 – New stock injectors 2012 – Replaced steering rack 2013 – Replaced A/C compressor 2021 – New battery (not shown in the pictures) The car won 1 st place in its class at SDAC in WI in 2004 and then again in PA in 2007 (Driven from Kansas City to both shows). It has won multiple 1 st place awards at local shows. It was also on display at the Kansas City Auto Museum a few years ago. It runs and drives great. We drove it from Kansas City to Las Vegas for Shelby’s Grand opening in 1997 and again in 2003. It has been driven approx. 2,000 miles in the last four years. Pictures were taken a few days ago from our home in Florida. The car was sold new in Kansas City. We can trace the history back to the original owner. The floor pans are good, hatch is good, doors are good, spare tire area is good. Glass is all good. The seat cushions are firm (like new) and the hatch even stays open by itself! The radio, lights, gauges, etc. all work as they should. All Shelby specific equipment is on the car. Sunroof seal is good and the sunroof storage bag is in the cargo area. Laminated original window sticker is included. We are selling it because we don’t drive it anymore and it really should be somewhere where it can be enjoyed more. We are also selling our 1986 Omni GLHS. If you want a rarer car, and want to do a little work to make it as great as this car; check out that auction. If the same person buys both – I will open up my collection of sales brochures, NOS Shelby jackets/shirts, autographed memorabilia, etc. and let them purchase some items at an additional cost.
