1987 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE 2 owner car with only 11,994 original documented miles! !
Hello everyone, this is a listing for a beautiful kept 1987 Corvette convertible. Before I get to far into the description I like to mention that I have over 100 full page pictures and a link to a 9 minute video below. This was a well kept car being garage kept since new and only driven sparingly. The car was purchased at Lawrence Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Pa on December 20th,1986 by James & Pamela Cosco from Camp Hill, Pa. They only kept the car for for about 3 1/2 years and was sold to the 2nd owner Roger Keller from Carlisle, Pa on August 9th, 1990. The car stayed within 30 minutes of the original selling dealer its entire life. Roger passed away a couple years ago and I purchased the car from his wife about 2 months ago. The car was fully serviced at the Chevrolet dealer in August 2019 and then the latest service in October 2020. At that time it received a new battery, rocker switch, starter and to charge the Air conditioning to blow nice and cold again. Please see the receipts below.
The car is heavily optioned from the factory. It came Nassau blue metallic with Medium blue leather interior and black top. It came with the following options; HD radiator cooling system, Engine oil cooler, Power drivers seat, AM/FM cassette Dolby, Bose speaker system, Climate control, Tilt steering, Cruise control, Power door lock, Power windows, Power mirrors, Optional 3.07 rear axle ratio and 4 Speed manual transmission.
The car has a perfect Car fax and has NEVER had an accident. No damage ever. The car is extremely original. Paint is extremely nice and smooth and all original (with only small touch up on hood, on one spot, but cant tell excellent match. I did the match. It had a 4 inch thin scratch in paint) Everything else is also original top and top headliner, complete interior, tires, wheels, drivetrain. Everything is original!
Every single thing works as it should just like it did back in 1987. There are NO code/warning lights lit. Every digital gauge works as it should. Original AM/FM radio and cassette with Bose speakers all work as they should with no static. Every courtesy light works in the interior and under the hood. Power antenna raises by turning the radio on and lowers by turning off the radio like it should. Headlights function like they should. The air conditioning works like it should and was just fully charged in October. Power mirrors, door lock and windows work as they should. Emergency brake and light indicator work as they should. Lastly the car starts right up with one turn of the key and idles like it should. The car has great oil pressure at all times even when fully hot. There are NO leaks under the car nice and dry. When you pull out the original GM clutch is in perfect working condition. Shifts nicely through every gear. Runs very strong with NO bogging down or interrupted power. Strong pulling power through every gear. Very smooth. There are NO funny noises when driving down the road. It pulls nice and straight and brakes just the same. I will have a current inspection on the car as everything is in great condition. The needs NOTHING! !
