Family priorities have changed, so I"m putting this beautiful truck up for sale.This 1987 Squarebody 4x4 Shortbed is sure to turn some heads with the Red paint and 6" Skyjacker Softride lift with 15x8 aluminum wheels on 35" Cooper MT Tires. It has the Fuel injected 5.7L 350 V8 Engine and a 700R4 transmission. Fresh fluids in engine and transmission done recently. Has a dual exhaust with Flowmasters that have a nice grumbling sound that exit out a chrome drop center rear bumper. Solid front bumper with bumper guards. The bed has a liner on it to avoid any dings or dents. New rear brake drums, front brake pads are like new, new upper and lower MOOG ball joints, new fluid in rear differential, front manual 4x4 hubs have been greased and packed, new steering box, new aluminum radiator with fresh coolant and cap, new upper and lower radiator hoses and heater hoses, the AC has been converted and works, new weatherstripping on both driver and passenger side windows and vent windows. Working Kenwood deck with CD/AM/FM radio and two rear Kenwood speakers. No chips on windshield. Truck rides smooth down any road with no issues. Transmission shifts as it should. Transmission and engine were rebuilt about 5K miles ago. The 4x4 works fine. Paint on the overall exterior of the truck is in really good shape since it’s always parked under a carport.
If I were to list any cons, they would include: The tire tread is about 40-50%, small oil leak on front oil pan gasket, small trans fluid leak again seems to be from gasket (what Chevy doesn"t), bench seat does have normal wear and tear, the dash is cracked, power window and lock switches work on driver side, passenger side power window switch is much slower, some minor paint chips on the hood and one quarter size chip on the top of the cab. Only one working fuel tank on driver side, removed passenger side fuel tank and never replaced it.
I have been the owner of this truck for almost 4 years now and have a stack of paperwork history in regards to paint, mods, maintenance, etc from the previous owner.
I use the truck once or twice a week and it always get compliments. Solid running truck and turn key ready!
