Vehicle Details Hello , up for sale is a two owner EXTREMELY CLEAN & WELL MAINTAINED 1987 Corvette Convertible cruise night /show car. I have owned this car since August ,1991. You read it right , I have owned the car for over 30+ years & I'm the second owner. In that time the car was turned into a show car and rarely driven , except to & from shows & cruise nights. This car is in as close to flawless condition as humanly possible. The car overall on a scale from 1-10 is easily 9.5 - 9.75. YOU CAN LOOK , BUT YOU WILL NOT FIND ONE LIKE THIS , OR IN THIS CONDITION ANYWHERE , THIS I GUARANTEE ! ! ! This car has been adult owned since new and has never been mistreated in any way (the prior owner was over 60 years old & passed away prior to the sale to me). I know the whole history of the car , since it was purchased new at Norris Chevrolet of Westfield , NJ back in late 1986. I also purchased the car there , from his widow. The car has never been in any type of accident whatsoever ! This car has an original (NOT A CLONE OR COPY) Greenwood Motorsports Aero Package with rear Tunnel. The Aero kit was installed to the highest level possible , along with a complete re-paint while doing so. Over 7,500+ was spent on the installation of the Aero Package & complete custom re-paint. The paint is show quality , not some average repaint. The car has 5 coats of PPG Concept Urethane and was sanded and polished afterward so it has no orange peel whatsoever. I have seen many of these C4 Corvettes at shows and cruise nights and NOT ONE WAS EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO THIS CAR ! ! ! The car has 56,950 miles on it. As stated, it's in excellent condition and 100% ready to be showed , carefully driven and enjoyed. It easily shows as a car which is a few months old at most , It's that clean ! The paint is in excellent shape , has an unbelievable shine with no chips or scratches , the interior is as clean as possible and shows extremely little wear. The engine compartment , suspensions & underside of the car are spotless ! It has none of the normal flaws that this year car usually has , NOT ONE ! Look closely at the pics they tell the whole story. There is nothing to hide on this car ! The car starts , runs , drives , shifts , stops perfectly and has no fluid leaks whatsoever ! The car has upgraded brand new 17 inch rims & tires with less than 50 miles on them. The convertible top & complete top weather stripping are also new & p[erfect. Last year during the Covid lockdown , I was board and looking for a Spring - Summer project . So , it was completely serviced , even though it didn't need to be. ! The car just had a complete brake job , consisting replacing all four rotors with brand new AC Delco Pro units , which are powder coated & better than original. New Bosch brake pads were installed & all of the flexible brake lines feeding the calipers were changed. The brake system had a complete fluid flush and refill also. All four shocks were replaced with new Billstein units, they best money could buy , at a cost of over 350.00 for the set. Besides the complete brake job , it has new K&N air filter & Fresh Mobil 1 synthetic oil & filter change. It has a new upper and lower radiator hoses & complete anti freeze flush & refill. The engine serpentine belt , spark plugs , cap & rotor were changed as well. The transmission was serviced as well. Well over $ 5500.00 has been put into the car mechanically & cosmetically over the last year , keeping up with its service (with the new tires , new wheels , new convertible & top weather stripping , mufflers & shocks included in this amount) . This car is also 100% stock mechanically , no performance modifications have ever been done to it , not in any way (no kid shit). The engine is Virgin , it has never been touched in any way (except for tune ups & oil changes). The only thing non-original to the car mechanically , is the pair of Polished Stainless Steel Borla LT-1 mufflers , these alone were 900.00+. The mufflers sound excellent , are not too loud and are an extreme improvement over the originals. Plus , they will last a lifetime being 100% stainless steel. The wheels & tires as stated prior are new , have no curb damage whatsoever and are in perfect condition without any flaws. The updated wheels look excellent on the car , while retaining a stock Corvette appearance for that era. The car is fully loaded with features including automatic climate control , Bose radio , Dual power seats and all other power options. everything on the car functions the way it's supposed to. It has also been garage kept since being purchased new by the prior owner and has always been stored the same way by me. ITS CERTIANLY NOT YOUR NORMANL USED CAR DEALER CORVETTE , NOT IN ANY WAY , with 20 prior owners and 20 problems which have never been addressed or repaired ! ! ! This car was LOVED & IT SHOWS ! ! ! Overall , I think it would be impossible to find a nicer car at this price point ! It's an EXTREME head turner & receives tons of compliments whenever driven ! It turns more heads then a thong bikini car wash ! Nobody believes this car is 35 years old when seen , it's that nice ! It needs to be seen in person , to be believed & appreciated. Pictures do not do this car justice ! I am open to offers on the car , but be realistic when doing so. You could not build a similar car to this , for the price im asking , not even close. Good luck also trying to find a car with this type of original miles to start with also. The only reason the car is up for sale is because I recently purchased a Caribbean vacation condo and with that purchase , it's not used enough to justify keeping anymore (I have a lot less free time now here in NJ). It's now time to let someone else enjoy bringing it to shows or for cruise nights , ect. I had no intention of ever selling this car in all honesty and none of the things done to it were because it was going up for sale. They were done , because I love this car and wanted to keep it looking sweet and as perfect as mechanically as possible . But , I'm sure anyone looking at this car , more than understands this. I'm sorry about the long story , but I'm sure anybody who's interested in the car wants to know as much as possible. This car also qualifies for QQ plates and Insured through Grundy Collector Car Ins Co, is less that 200.00 per yr insured for a value of 17k. The car is currently garage stored at my home in Edison NJ , less than 5 minutes off GSP exit 132 or the NJ Turnpike Exit 11. I've been on for 20+ years & I have perfect feedback as a seller (not even one neutral or negative). I describe the items I'm selling honestly & to a t !
