Works well: I have repair records from my purchase date in 1999 from two prominent VW shops in town Was daily driver, then retired for recreation/second car Has 300,783 total miles; rebuilt was installed 2001 Clean and straight body and paint; only one tiny rust spot Fold up table Storage cubbies in back
Normal wear on interior with some smaller items broken (see below) All doors, latches, locks, windows, including pop top functional Aftermarket shoulder strap seat belts installed in back seat for kids Aftermarket radio with CD player and 8 CD changer
Needs repair: UPDATED per shop inspection on 1-14-21 Rear view mirror Jumpseat seat belt Air conditioning (not working when I bought it)
Top tent pops up but needs replacement Small moon roof latch
Wiper fluid pump Front left upper ball joint boot torn Left outer tie rod boot torn Front sway bar links cracking Engine oil leak Rear shocks leaking Inner and outer motor mounts
Bottom line: Excellent haggle-free price: I know the "list high and then drop the price" idea - as a single working parent in these times, I do not have the time to do that - just being straight ahead with this one.
