Vehicle description
RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER. Please do not bid if you are not following thru with the purchase. Up for your consideration is this 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2 You are bidding on a very sought after limited production Pontiac. This is what Wiki has to say about the 2+2: An updated taillight design with three sections was the only major change to the 1986 Grand Prix. A new 2+2 model was offered for homologation of an aerodynamic coupe body for NASCAR competition, like Chevrolet"s 1986 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. 2+2-specific pieces are an aero nose, bubble rear glass and a fiberglass trunklid with integral spoiler. All 2+2 models came equipped with a corporate 305 cu in (5.0 L) four-barrel engine, the 200-4R four-speed automatic transmission and 3.08:1 rear axle ratio. They have a two-tone paint job with silver on top and gray on the bottom, with 2+2 decals and striping and 15x7 steel Rally II wheels. There were only approximately 1,225 Grand Prix 2+2s built in 1986 and all found buyers. This vehicle has 34,+ + miles on the odometer. I have no way to determine if that is 134K or not, but I would assume so. Looking at the brake and gas pedal rubber pads, it could be 34K. The body is VERY straight and only very small areas where paint has peeled has surface rust, (chips etc. .) Appears the Florida sun has done its work on the paint with one repaint and rattle can coverage in some areas. The original engine is gone as previous owner intended an LS swap and a Richard Petty Paint Scheme, but a Monte SS H.O. 305 and 200R4 transmission comes with it, pulled from a running driving car. I have crawled under and over this car and it is as rust free as can be. Doors, quarters, rockers all very solid. Frame and floors are excellent as well. Would make an awesome tribute car! As this car is over 30 years old it will have the wear and tear of a car its age. Seats are clean and stain free but have some splits. Steering wheel leather is dry as well. Please do not assume its a museum piece, just an excellent restoration candidate. First bid meets reserve. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or specific photos, car can be purchased locally and listing will be removed. Sold as is where is, all sales final. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end and prior to pickup.
