THIS CAR IS BEING RE-LISTED BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS WINNING BIDDER ( L E O N C A R _ 40 ) DISAPPEARED AFTER WINNING THE AUCTION AND WILL NOT RETURN MY MESSAGES OR PHONE CALLS. HE FLAKED! THEREFORE, PLEASE UNDERSTAND, SERIOUS BIDDER ONLY!
PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION! 1986Nissan 300zx Turbo 5 Speed Manual Transmission 66,000 original miles This Z was my Mothers, my Father brought it home for her Xmas eve 1985. Carfax will show 3 owners, after my parents passing, we inherited it to my nephew (initialsT&HG would be that registered owner for a couple years), then after he did some work it, he couldn’t continue the project and I bought it back for my niece (initials BRB which is the current registered owner and I have title and POA and signed contract from her to sell “as her agent”, she is available anytime to confirm this info). The car has been parked at my home and in my possession since the last ownership change (2012 when mileage was about 56000).I have been left with the project myself and at this point and have to let this one go, even as much as we’ve loved keeping this car in the family. When this car runs well, it’s an amazing ride down the coast with the T-tops off! I drove the car a couple summers ago around San Diego and got many compliments on it. Vehicle is sold AS IS. Seller makes no warranties or guarantees but will describe details about the vehicle to the best of seller’s ability. Vehicle currently has personalized plates but will be sold without plates, seller is keeping personalized plates. Vehicle is registered non op in California. Vehicle starts but starts smoking from under the hood after about 3 mins. I don’t know why, smells like oil burning. I drive the car around the block 3x a week to keep her going but she really can’t go further than that. Because of that, vehicle will need to be towed away (seller can possibly offer delivery 100 miles from San Diego with AAA Roadside) otherwise buyers responsible for picking vehicle up with a tow from North County of San Diego, CA. Pics are best description of vehicle. You will see 2 rust spots starting under back hatch (which doesn"t lock and needs new support bars) and at base of windshield near hood. Window control buttons work but need replacing. Gas tank door plastic clip broke, I keep it closed with velcro tape. See all pics for dents and flaws. One small fender bender in the late 80s caused the right fender to need repainting and that is fading faster than the cars original paint. See pics. Mechanically; Battery replaced 5/2021 New ECM 7/2020 ($500) Turbo rebuilt 12/2016 ($5000) New brakes and tires 10/2016 ($1500 at 59000 miles) New rear and front strut assemblies 9/2016 (non stock therefore the adjustable shock system doesn’t recognize them, they are always firm for fast driving.) Interior: see pics for wear and tear but not too bad for a 1986. Will need some clean up and repairs and TLC. I have other misc receipts totaling about $5000 for random work I’ve had done in recent years. This car needs a few more things and some TLC and she will be an amazing car again.I just have too many projects and can’t continue this one. This car has always driven like no other, digital dash, original speaking voice alert system, this car was ahead of its time. Very rare. Happy to answer any questions. Thanks.
