Vehicle description
1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo. Red with black hardtop. 4.2 liter 6-cylinder with 5 speed and cruise. The odometer has +/- 79,xxx miles on it but it is exempt so I cannot verify this is the actual mileage. I did track the vehicle back via Carfax and it appears as if the mileage is correct based on its history but I cannot confirm that. It drives nice and I can send you a video of this Jeep going down the interstate at 65 MPH tracking straight. Dana 44 rear, dana 30 front. It has a small lift, guessing 2 1/2 “ or 3”. All gauges and electronics work. The vehicle is virtually rust-free and there are several pictures of the underside of the Jeep. It does have the Nutter bypass. The tires are BFG All-terrain 31" radials with no more than 500 miles on them and it does have the correct Jeep chrome wagon wheels in very good condition. The Laredo seats are aftermarket but are in extremely good shape and they are the correct look for a 1986 Jeep Laredo. It does have the Marchal lights and covers but one bulb needs to be replaced. It has an aftermarket retro sound radio that works. It also has a Warn Winch with remote and the frame bracket to mount it to the Jeep frame. Yes it works and the remote is included, it does not appear to have ever been used. I tested it in my garage and it works. If someone wants it I would consider selling the winch and the mounting bracket separately for $1000.00 firm. This is WARN p/n 27550 and I do have the paperwork with it. This Jeep was restored about 5 years ago with 77,000 miles. Here is the link to that ad from THAT seller … the typos have been corrected …. http:/ davidsclassiccars.com/jeep/36759-1986-jeep-cj7-laredo-sport-utility-2-door-42l-77k-miles.html This ad states that this “1986 jeep cj7 laredo, it has very low miles, only 77,000 miles on it, and probably half of those miles were towed behind a motorhome, i am the 2nd owner, purchased this jeep from a jeep dealer in denver colorado, it was purchased new in 86 from a jeep dealership in denver, the original owners had a house in steamboat springs, but licensed there motorhome and jeep in wyomimg, the jeep was towed mainly from steamboat springs to arizona and california, i still have the original front bumper with the tow bar holes in it, and the towing wiring is still rolled up and tied to the master cylinder, when i got it, i had it completly taken apart, repainted and drivetrain rebuilt, the engine was sent off to spitfire engine in denver and it was torn down and rebuilt with all new components, engine runs great, the transmission and transfer case were gone thru and new clutch, the jeep drives and shifts great, it has the factory dana 44 rear, it has new bearings, seals and spider gears installed, the front is the dana 30, resealed, new brake rotors, brakes, bearings, new brake lines, 2.5 lift. . has 3.31 gears. has new warn winch (never used), tires are 32" bfg all terrian, there is a blemish on the drivers side door decal, by the key lock. the color is factory sebring red,the jeep only has 50 miles on everything. . interior is in great shape, all the gauges work, and the clock does also, i have more into this jeep than the buy it now is. i have black laredo also, so i dont need 2 of these jeeps. any question give me a call” I can’t verify any of the rebuild items were completed but this ad does appear to be consistent with the condition of the vehicle and the mechanical function of this Jeep.It was sold about 5 years ago to its third owner in Pompano Beach Florida who I bought if from a few months ago. He had it kept in his garage since he bought it with the cover and doors sitting in storage. I have put may 20 miles on it since I purchased it and it has either been in my garage or in my driveway under cover with tire/wheel covers as well. I always wanted a Sebring Red Laredo but this one is so nice I am hesitant to load up my wife, kids, dogs, etc. to drive around since I don’t want to get it dirty. I also have a 1986 Gray Laredo that is not as nice and I am willing to load the gray one up and not worry about the consequences so to speak. This is full disclosure for those of you who troll autotrader and think this vehicle looks familiar…. it IS the same one listed on autotrader a few months ago.The pictures with the hardtop on were taken a few weeks ago in South Carolina … the other ones with no top were taken in Florida a few months ago (guessing February/March 2020)This Jeep is extremely sharp and a very good representation of a 1986 Jeep CJ7 Laredo but this is not a $ 35,000.00 show Jeep. It has some small leaks that I may or may not get to before the vehicle sells. For those of you who have Jeeps you know small leaks are normal and cheap and easy to fix. It comes with a bikini top and an electric winch system and hanger so that one person can take the hardtop off with a push of a button and hoist it up to your garage ceiling. This Jeep has been sitting in my garage OR in my driveway fully covered since I purchased it. There are plenty of pictures and some more if you contact me. I am asking $ 22,875.00 and I WILL accept the first REASONABLE cash offer. I am not upside down, underwater, distressed, or desperate to sell it but I have 2 Jeeps and one of them has to go. Once one sells the other one comes off the market. Please no low-balls … it would be best to see this Jeep and drive this Jeep before you make an offer. This is less than the asking price that this Jeep was recently listed on Autotrader with. I am not “flipping” this Jeep, just consolidating down based on which one sells quicker.VIN # 1JCCF87E1GT106850 … I have the clear title on hand and I am happy to answer questions and you are welcome to bring a mechanic with you to inspect the vehicle. . Between this ad, the pictures, and any conversation that we have I will do my best to represent this vehicle as honestly as possible … this should save us wasted time on both ends!Thank you for your interest.
