1986 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat - Short Wheel Base - 5.8L 351 4V HO - Automatic - RWD - 182K
Up for grabs is a really honest one owner pick up truck. Spend its" entire life in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Purchased from an Estate this truck needs a little love but has an amazing base with an extremely rust free body and running 351. The truck was really taken care of as can been seen by the general condition, all the paperwork, original window sticker, and lots of records. The truck is very original with the exception of the slight lowering to the suspension and the tailgate. This truck has all the options except 4WD with the very sought 351 set up with the 4 barrel.
Exterior. Raven Black with Medium Silver Deluxe Two Tone Paint. All in all the exterior of this truck is everything you look for in an older original truck. Killer two tone black and gray paint scheme. The paint is original and shows signs of age but in my opinion really looks good. Has some clear coat flaking and some surface rust on the top of the cab. This truck has solid cab corners, fenders, and rockers. The bed is in excellent condition with minor surface rust and dents. No through rust anywhere on this truck - everything is solid. Minor dings and scratches. Very straight body for pickup of it"s age. This was not a work truck. If you used a cutting compound, polish and wax you could really make in shine again. Has very new Michelin Tires all the way around. Bumpers is excellent condition.
Interior. The interior is original and shows signs of the 182K miles. The seat was torn on the drivers side and the original owner taped it up and put the cover on it. The dash has a few cracks and sun fading but does have the highly fashionable carpet covering it up. Dash pads are available and easy to install. Door panels cleaned up okay and have all the working door lock and power window controls. Carpet and headliner present well. Dash cluster is good condition and all gauges seem to work. Has aftermarket temp gauge. Missing visors. Needs interior and exterior window seals.
Mechanical. The truck runs, drives and stops in the parking lot. The previous owner removed the rear gas tank and replaced the front one with a new tank. I replaced the carb and gave it some new oil. The truck starts and runs and drives. I have driven it up and down the street one time. The truck sat in a garage unused for a few years and has never been fully gone through to get it road worthy. It will need fine tuning and possibly any and all of the things a vehicle that has sat up may need. The motor is ford"s sought after 5.8:L 351 4V HO. The catalytic converters really need to be removed - they seem to be old and possibly clogged. Truck was lowered with cut springs and a shackle kit on the rear. Of course, with it being a twin I beam, the front wheels to have a slight camber.

All in all this is an amazing pickup truck. It"s getting a lot harder to find these trucks in this condition.
