Vehicle description

Just completed restoration/modification. All new mechanicals, paint, body, suspension, wheels/tires, brakes, etc. Only 160 miles on the car since start of restoration, less than 10 miles since completion. One of a kind car. Very fast, but also economical and drivable on the street. During testing ran 0-60 in under 3 seconds. Theoretical top end for it should be 235 mph given HP, COD and gearing. At TX highway speeds it idles along at 1,400 rpm @ 70 mph and 1,600 rpm @ 80 mph.
Drive train is all new. 7.0L/427cid GM LS7 crate motor, Circle D torque converter, Extreme Automatics custom 4L80e with the optional 2.97/1.57/1.00/.75 gear ratios , Gear Vendors OD, QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft, Ford 8.8 rearend with Auburn posi. They said it couldn"t be done, but using a PCS TCM2800 transmission control module I was able to get the 4L80e/Gear Vendors to operate as a 5 or 6 speed automatic transmission depending on how you program it. Currently in Performance Mode it runs as a 6 speed, and in Economy Mode it is a 5 speed (skips 2nd gear which is unnecessary at low speed/rpm/throttle and the GV won"t engage to split 1st gear at such low rpm anyway).
Replaced all the steering and suspension parts except the gear box. Steering is stock, suspension converted to height/stiffness adjustable coilovers. New 20x10 front, 20x12.5 rear Cray wheels with Michellin Pilot Super Sport tires (265/30ZR20 front, 335/25ZR20 rear). Also has a TPMS to monitor tire pressure and temperature which displays on the DVD screen. Car is stopped by 6 piston, 14" rotor Baer disc brakes front and rear in black/red that match the car.
Exhaust system is black ceramic coated stainless steel (2" headers, 3" Y-pipe, 3.5" exhaust) exiting through a dashboard adjustable Varex XForce stainless steel muffler which allows you to adjust the exhaust volume. Intake is a stock intake custom modified to increase the amount of airflow and to accommodate much larger K&N air filters that flow adequate air even for an LS7 at full throttle at the red line. Radiator is a Champion Cooling Dual Pass LS Conversion radiator designed for 3rd Gen Camaros.
Hood, front and rear bumpers, front fenders and rear quarters are Stinger Fiberglass wide body panels. Hood has been modified and incorporates functional louvers, not the stock plastic ones that provide no ventilation. Rear wing is a Fiero wing on 5" wing stands. Body is painted the original red color with satin black ground effects, shark fin, mirrors, louvers, gas filler cover, wing, etc.
Interior is the stock colors and materials, but the carpet/pad has been replaced with new carpet that matches the original and worn spots on the driver"s seat replaced with new matching fabric. Car has the rare optional dimming rear view mirror and roof console. Power door locks, windows, rear hatch release, and side mirrors with keyless entry. Stereo has been upgraded to a double din Jensen VX7020 with GPS, DVD, SiriusXM, Blue Tooth, backup camera, etc. Speakers were also upgraded to Pioneer.
Instrument cluster is a Dakota Digital VHX unit with numerous added sensors that provide readings on everything you might want to monitor.
All lighting inside and out including headlights and taillights has been upgraded to LED. In high beam the headlights are stupid bright when all 4 Vision X Vortex LED headlights are illuminated. Halos on the outside units function as daytime running lights, and the halos on the inside units are wired to the turn signals. The stock high-mounted brake light has been replaced with an LED unit that mounts to the underside of the louvers.
