Vehicle description
Selling a pretty nice Chevy Squarebody truck. This is a nice running and driving truck that can be driven anywhere, or used to pull that heavy load. These trucks were notorious for being the big work horse but also a solid driver. This is a 1986 Chevrolet Silverado K30. This 4 wheel drive truck has the ultimate drivetrain. This truck is full power windows, power door locks and A/C air conditioning. A/C parts for under the hood come with the truck. Not on engine because of clearance for the big valve covers.
Lets start with the big block 454 engine. This engine was put together with all new parts. This engine maybe has 2 hours of run time on it since it was rebuilt. The engine was bored .30 over. Little over stock, mild cam. Unfortunately, the builder didn"t really give me paperwork for this motor. The Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold is brand new. I had it and the new aluminum Edelbrock valve powder coated to match the truck. The carburetor is a brand new Holley 750 cfm double pumper. The alternator I believe is a 110 amp alternator. All new belts and hoses. Brand new aluminum radiator with the plastic sides tanks. New Holley 80 gph fuel pump. I spared nothing to having this engine built to be a powerful but yet a nice driving engine. It has full synthetic motor oil. I did run this engine for 20 minutes at 2000 rpm to break the engine in with the zinc additive in it. The exhaust manifolds are new ceramic coated headers with 3" collectors. The exhaust is in really good shape and does have a little rap to it.
The tires are in pretty good shape, 285-75-16s. They were on a different truck at one time and were hitting the front fenders so they have a few chunks cut on tread, and did rub on the car trailer fenders a few times. Not a safety issue. These are Cooper Discover S/T"s.
The transmission is a factory 400 turbo hydromatic, works great. No issues. The transfer case is a cast iron np205 gear drive. The transfer cases are nearly indestructible. The suspension is roughly a 3 or 4" suspension lift with a small body lift. The shocks are all new as well as the dual steering stabilizers. Went thru some of the brakes last year. New master cylinder. I put on a new steering rag joint as well. The body is very solid and looks to be original sheet metal. No rust. There was some body work done on the roof that is to be desired. The tailgate was replaced and painted to match. The box is a dual tank bed. The truck has brand new dual fuel tanks and fuel tank brackets and straps as well. I put new Bosch gauges under the dash. The factory gauges are not working. The power windows are super slow when they work, power door locks are not working. You can get a updated kit for the door locks from LMC to help get more juice to the switches. Its a GM thing. The front axle is a Dana 60 SRW and the rear axle is a SRW 14 bolt full floater. The gear ratio"s are 4:10"s. This is a factory single rear wheel truck. 262 As far as this truck,745 its not 6353 perfect. With just a bit more, these few minor things can be worked out and you will have one heck of a truck. This truck is for sale locally.
