Selling my 1986 E28 535i 5 speed project. It is cosmetically challenged, but a great base for restoration. 3 areas of surface rust, one on the passenger A pillar, another on the sunroof and finally one on the driver rear quarter panel. The paint is tired, as is the interior. I am including interior pieces I’ve purchased to update and refresh the car: seat covers, steering wheel leather refresh, shift boot leather, teak shifter knob, and interior trim odds and ends. AC and heat function, just had the AC recharged with R12 in June 2021. Engine runs well and the manual 5 speed shifts smoothly through all gears with no noise, the clutch is strong. The brakes became an issue last week, and I’m sad to say it is beyond my financial means currently to get it back on the road. The diagnosis from my mechanic is the booster, and servo need replacement, plus recommended new brake lines etc. In essence the brakes need to be rebuilt. I am negotiable on price, and will entertain out of state offers. Car is sold as is, and shipping/delivery is up to the buyer.
