Vehicle description
A great cruising car that looks great and turns heads.
The car is in very good condition besides the rear window stitching which has worn out in the top right corner. Currently with seam tape and pop rivets, installed at Classic Coachworks in Monterey, the window is weather proof. The price is as low as it is, for an Alfa Romeo in this good of condition, to account for the future cost of a new top. There are also some minor interior cosmetic imperfections such as the crack in the dash from exposure to sun (pictured) and a 1-2 inch tear in the driver seat cushion (pictured). Some additional perks include a new battery, an oil pan guard being installed, full size spare (pictured), technical maintenance workshop manual, all service records from 1989, original owner"s manual, an additional seat protector (that matches that on the passenger seat, technalon car cover, and the original tool set. There is also a multi-cd player with radio installed (pictured).that is Bluetooth capable. Some recent work by the previous owner at 73,000 miles includes - valve job - new catalytic converter - new water pump - new spark plug wires - and fill service of fluids in early 2017 When I purchased the vehicle in Summer of 2017 Joe and his team at Classic Coachworks conducted a post-purchase inspection and conducted the following: - new exhaust hangers - new spark plugs - new motor mounts - Engine valve shims adjusted to proper measurements
The car is mechanically sound and does not suffer from 2nd gear synchro issues that plague some other Alfa Romeos. The transmission is smooth and the car runs great. Additoinally the body is clean and rust free with the original paint still in great condition.
The car was garaged continuously up until July 2018 when I moved to Virginia where it is not garaged but is covered. The car was maintained the experts at Classic Coachworks in Monterey, CA and the owner Joe can verify this if you give them a call.
The car passed California Smog test (with substantiating records) through Summer of 2017 when I changed state registration I hate to see the car go but a future move overseas means I have to let it go. Hopefully if you have made it this far in the ad you will realize that this is a good condition Alfa at a good price. Best of luck.
