Vehicle description

1985 Toyota Land Cruiser Troopy BJ 75 LHD Turbo Diesel Intercooler - Pro Expedition Overlander
Listed as 1980 because of European Vin Number, ( rules) but 1985
386.000 km/240.000 miles (these engines are known to go well over half a million miles).
The 3B engine is acclaimed to be the best diesel engine Toyota ever developed. With the added Turbo and Intercooler it makes it more powerful and fuel efficient especially at high altitudes and on steep hills.
Left Hand Drive European special order (Made in Japan); imported into the US in 2018. US - South Dakota title and current registration in my name, transferable to all US States.
The Troopy is considered worldwide to be the the best and most reliable expedition machine on the planet.
I purchased this amazing vehicle from its owner in September 2018 in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta.
I drove it to the US mostly on side and dirt roads with no issues (what a journey and numerous adventures in between).
The previous owner had it shipped from Germany and traveled through North, Central and South America, then to Africa and back to South America before settling in Mexico.
It has performed magnifically from Mexico to the deserts and locally, I got to enjoy and got to know it on different conditions and on all terrains, highways, mountain passes and beautiful paths to remote beaches.
Its extremely well designed and functional, built, equipped and geared for short and long journeys, literally the ultimate expedition camper.
2018 to 2019 Since purchasing it I have invested $$$$ to fine tune and upgrade it. I have all receipts.
Toyota Troopy"s have and are being sold across the world (except a few countries) parts and a network of dedicated and knowledgeable assistance is available here in the US and worldwide. Was able to find easily parts and an amazing mechanic right here locally in Los Angeles.
Unfortunately, sadly I have to let it go. my email [email protected]
I am the 3rd owner, the second owner purchased it 2004, the previous and first owner was a German car master mechanic who always looked after the car meticulously.
Info about the vehicle:
