This 1985 Toyota Celica GT-S (VIN JT5RA65KXF4054162) is a rare ASC-modified convertible in very nice driver level original, unmolested, driver condition with absolutely no modifications to it"s legendary bullet proof 2.4 liter 22R-E engine, with parts readily available at most of your local auto parts store . .
As is often the case with open top cars, most have been fitted with automatic gearbox. This one has the rare & preferable 5-speed with just over 67k miles & runs & drives great! !
The soft top appears to be original & in nice shape when in the up position, & even nicer with the top down which comes with a brand new boot which we purchased for that clean sleek look. .
The Carfax report is clear with no accident history & only 3 owners! !
The factory & also legendary "for those who grew up in the 80"s", will remember & appreciate the original "pump up" seats which along with the rest of the original interior is in very nice shape for it"s age. .
This was the last year of the rear wheel drive Celica GT-S! !
Very rare to see these ASC Celica GT-S around anymore as they"ve become scarcer, rougher or were highly modified with each passing year, and this one looks beautiful compared to most of it"s surviving siblings. .
This Celica GT-S came factory with the following options:
A/C, power steering, power brakes, power windows, as well as the very rare factory am/fm/cassette player with built in equalizer & is functioning as it supposed too! !
The paint has patina with a nice shine & appears to be mostly original surprisingly with very minimum touch ups. . She is rust free! !
This was also the year of the very cool factory aluminum wheels that are in good shape & complete with it"s original center caps. .
Overall this is a very nice example of motorsports history with plenty of miles to enjoy left! !
