Vehicle description

1985 Maserati Bi-Turbo - ONE OWNER! 13,000 Original Miles! This car has had NO Paint work, NO body work! The condition is amazing! (Ebay has no "BiTurbo option, hence the Quattroporte choice) The interior is almost mint! The leather has no rips or tears. the dash and wood panels are excellent. The door panels still have the original plastic covering them from the dealership! The car runs excellent. Pull on the choke and it starts right up. Drives good with the twin turbos spooling up you are in for a rush! The Michelin tires are excellent. The original owners manuals are in the glove box. We even have the factory service manuals to go with it too! All the gauges work as they should. The power windows operate perfectly. The Blaupunkt stereo works great as does the power antenna. Is everything perfect? Well no, I mean it is an Italian car after all! There is a driveline vibration between 35 and 50 MPH. Going 70 on the highway there is no vibration. 90, no vibration. I believe the driveshaft might need to be balanced. It leaks a little here and there. Headliner sags a little (I"m 5"10" and it doesn"t touch my head). AC is not working. All in all WAY nicer than most, but could use a little massaging by someone who knows what they are doing. We spent over $600 having it gone over and it runs great. Full disclosure, it has an "R" (rebuilt) title. The exhaust overheated (a VERY common problem with these) and burned the E-brake cable, undercoating, and some wiring. These have all been repaired. The interior carpet melted, but ONLY on the vertical front side of the rear seat, please see photo"s. This was intentionally left so you could see it was minor, and can be easily replaced. The insurance company wasn"t going to foot the bill for the repairs, so it was "paid off" as salvage. Again, the wiring, brake cable and undercoating have all been redone and look great. Exhaust has been cleared and is ready to go. So if you are looking for one of the lowest mile Bi-Turbo"s left, and one that is absolutely stunning in its original red paint, look no further!
PLEASE! ! You are bidding to purchase, not for first right of refusal. A lot of time and effort goes into each listing, photos, answering questions, etc. Please do not bid if you are not sure you want to own. This is a NO RESERVE auction.
