Vehicle description

1985 Lamborghini Jalpa. I have had the pleasure of owning this car for the last 15 years when I imported it from Texas from the third owner. We are building a new house and I"d like to sell off my toys to free up money. It has been an enjoyable and reliable sunny day car to drive both with the top on or off. It"s such a rare car it gathers a lot of attention everywhere it goes. The car sounds amazing and it reminds me of the the old crosworth race cars. There"s nothing like the sound of a carbureted engine and with four of them it"s even better. It"s been very reliable and a lot easier to maintain then I would have thought when I got it. The previous owner had rebuilt the engine at 64000km and repainted the car Lamborghini red from the original alcapulco blue. I have all the receipts from before I"ve owned it and since. I have had the car repainted again as the paint job it had when I bought it wasn"t worthy of the car. I kept it Lamborghini red as the idea of putting it back to blue didn"t appeal to me. I added custom OZ Lamborghini wheels but still have the factory wheels which can be bolted back on if the new owner chooses. It has the typical slow power windows of the vintage Italian sports cars. The AC blows warm but I"ve never bothered looking to get it recharged as I only drove the car on nice sunny days or evening and 99% of the time with the top off. The drivers seat looks a little creased but has no tears. Mechanically it is very sound but does leak a little oil from the one of the oil return tubes. I"ve had them changed over the years but when the car sits over the winter it will leak some. My mechanic told me this is typical of these cars and the older air cooled porsches which use a similar system. In fact my 1976 911 leaks in the same spot. The car is a very presentable daily driver and is ready to be enjoyed. I can assist with importing the car back to the US. As the car is more than 15 years old it is exempt from duty restrictions on importation. The car is also listed for sale locally.
