Vehicle description
1985 Jeep CJ7 painted in BMW Silver
Chevy 350 Crate Motor with Edlebrock Intake and 4bbl Edelbrock 650CFM carburetor. It has a new MSD HEI distributor and new spark plus. All the fluids are freshly changed in the entire driveline. The engine exhausts through Sanderson Headers and are true dual exhaust. The brakes are disk front and drum rear and work well. The booster and master cylinder are brand new. The steering is also power and all the ball joints, bearings and seals have been replaced. This Jeep steers as straight as an arrow with no wandering, looseness or shimmy at all! ! The steering column also tilts for comfort and adjustment. It literally drives like a car. The rear sway bar makes the Jeep perform well in corners. The 4-speed transmission is rebuilt and runs smooth through all gears without popping out of gear. The clutch is hydraulic, making it very easy to depress. The transfer case is a Dana 300 and it functions as it should. The rear axle has a Yukon locker and Yukon solid axle shafts. This Jeep has plenty of get up and go with the SB350 engine. All the gauges work perfect with the exception of the temp gauge in the original cluster. That was disconnected and swapped for an accurate gauge with a temperature scale. When I say they work, I mean they are accurate and all the lights in the gauges work as well. All lights work perfect except for the LED front bumper lights, they work but have never been wired. The windshield wiper work and even the sprayer works as well. The front and rear bumpers are both new. The winch is new and has never been used. The rocker steps/guards are also new. The Kenwood stereo has 4 speakers and sounds great. It also includes a remote with the stereo and will work with iPhone or iPod. The Corbeau driver and passenger high back seats and 3 point seat belts are brand new and very comfortable. The seats do slide back and forth, recline, and tilt forward for rear seat entry. The carpet is also in decent shape. This Jeep is wired for towing behind a RV. The Rims are 15” aluminum and the tires are 33x12.50AT and are in great shape. The body of this Jeep is about as perfect as it gets. The paint is nearly flawless except where the hardtop meets the body. The underside maintains all it original floor pans and body mounting tracks. This Jeep originated out of the west where salt was not used on the road and it shows. The hardtop is also in great condition, as are the full hard doors and Best Top soft half-doors that come with the Jeep. The heat works great but the fan is a little noisy. This Jeep rides quiet with little to no rattle. The exhaust is throaty but quiets right down at cruising speeds. The Jeep has a current Virginia inspection and does have the necessary parking brake and license plate light. I will add some links to YouTube when I have a chance to upload them.
