Please know, you are bidding to WIN. Please check with significant other, check funds, etc BEFORE bidding. I am also just over an hour south of Las Vegas in Arizona if you would like to fly in and see the Jeep in person. This vehicle will be sold As-Is.
Now to the fun stuff. 1985 Jeep CJ7. A Jeep like this is becoming harder and harder to find. This Jeep is in Original condition! no one has hacked Into it, wire harness is untouched, no major body work or paint, original wheels, dash pad, steering wheel, gauges, shift knobs, etc . Also comes with original owners manuals!
This jeep has a good running 4 cylinder that runs cool and has great oil pressure. Does not smoke etc. Backed by a 4 speed manual transmission that shifts very nicely and has a strong clutch in it. zero issues. no leaks. Driving this Jeep is very enjoyable. It drives great! Doesn"t "drive like a jeep" The front suspension is all tight, and being all stock, it drives down the road straight and doesn"t wander a bit. So lets stop the stereotype, only improperly lifted and worn out Jeeps drive rough. This is not one of them.
Interior wise everything is in good shape. I have left the floors untouched and in original condition so you can see what you are getting. Paint has worn off in some spots but is all very solid and no rust in the floor. The only thing not original in the interior is the driver seat was replaced with a Best top seat years ago. Passenger seat and back seat are original. Jeep has a factory roll bar, factory dash pad, factory steering wheel, gauges etc. ALL gauges work including fuel and temp. all lights on the dash work even including the "shift up" light. pretty cool.
Chassis is very dry. all tub mounts are solid. no rust in the typical places. fenders etc all very good shape and no rust. the ONLY rust on this jeep is where the underside of the subfloor connect to the body (see last pic) very small area under 2-3" on each side. That is very minimal for any unrestored jeep on the market that you will find. Everything else is very solid. I have had this Jeep up on my lift and have taken detailed pictures of the chassis for everyone to see.
Recent maintenance in the last 100 miles include;New Spark plugs, new fuel pump and filter, new temperature sender, valve cover and gasket, new thermostat and coolant flush, air filter, oil change, pcv valve. I have tried to just do all of the little things to make this jeep reliable and enjoyable for the next owner.
I own a shop and specialize in quality classic vehicles, and this is no exception. This is a private sale, I have clean title in hand, and will make this buying process as easy as possible.
